AGARTALA, Dec 4 (TIWN): Acute blood crisis in Tripura Blood Banks has hit the health services and emergency patient parties are facing major problems due to the blood crisis. When Patient parties are suffering due to blood crisis at the same time they are also facing harassment of the blood bank workers. Talking to a patient party he said, "My patient is in OT and already in exchange of blood a blood donor is ready but when my donor is standing in row for a long time the employees have no concern. Lethargy has gripped the blood bank workers. On the one side, Doctors are giving us pressure for emergency blood collection and her the employees are not interested to work. They have asked us to wait but from half an hour we are waiting here. They are not coming before the desk to give us the blood. If they work for 5 minutes, for 15 minutes they are seen vanished. Their behaviour is so ruff that you will definitely feel bad".
Another woman who was in the row said that her donor has also donated blood but she is not given the blood in return.
Numbers of blood donation camps have also reduced in Tripura heavily. On yesterday, former Health Minister Sudip Barman had criticized the law and order situation which is conducting attacks even in the blood donation camps, causing acute crisis of blood in blood banks.
