AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Terminated 10323 teachers who are in long wait to be appointed in new jobs because they were promised about 'alternative jobs' by the BJP both as opposition and now as ruling Govt, are losing patience as left jobless from 8 months. While planning for the next protest programmes, the 10323 teachers raised question to the Govt about if it is now appointing mere 4,000 non-teaching staffs, why it advertised and lied in the Supreme Court that it want to appoint 8,882 non-teaching staffs ? Why so much double role ? This Supreme Court matter was raised by former Teacher Bijoy Krishna Saha under AD-Hoc committee. Addressing from the Convention at Agartala Town Hall, a terminated teacher Bimal Saha said, "We had to call for this convention as CM's promise about 10323 teachers' livelihoods but after two months of passage CM's promise is far from reality".
"We have come to know that CM is not taking any step to solve our problems. We are holding these conventions district-wise so that we can go for the biggest protest by December, because, we need our livelihood. Govt can not forget its promise".
