AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Sadar Administrative members led by Sadar SDM Ashim Saha conducted enforcement in different areas of Maharajganj Market on Thursday. In this enforcement, the officials have charged people fine for not wearing mask properly and seized one time plastic bags and sound crackers amid Diwali festival.
While addressing media SDM Ashim Saha said, "We conduct such enforcement curriculums on regular basis. Today we have seen few shopkeepers are not wearing masks properly, we have imposed fine for that. We have sound polution control members today. We have found few shops are selling sound crackers, we have seized them. We also have seized one time plastic bags from few shops, legal action will be taken against the shopkeepers."
He also said that in Maharajganj Market shopkeepers are selling products on a lesser price than the MRP. The SDM said that if they can sell the product in cheaper price than other shopkeepers of different areas can also sell the product on that price and the administration will look after it. He also mentioned that such enforcements will be continued in future days.
