AGARTALA, Nov 12 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb might had been confused between Social Science subject of senior basic classes and Political Science of upper classes. Thus, during his visit at Krobook's Chelakaham Higher Secondary school, he said there is no need of subject teachers in political science as political science is nothing but a mix of History and Geography subjects.
After he visited the school, students and teachers raised various issues and among them teachers crisis was an issue. The school also requested him for lack of political science teachers, but Deb clearly told them there is no need of Political science teacher as History and Geography together make Political science.

He also claimed that till Class-10 there is no need of any subject teacher except Mathematics.
On being asked about lack of school boundary wall, he cited how Rabindranath Tagore initiated students to study under tree and how Iswar Chandra Vidyasagar studied under lightpost.
