AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Criminal activities, robbery, looting people on road are increasing on alarming note in Tripura. Such shocking incident occurred in Melarmath area on Saturday evening.

Reportedly, a woman was walking on the road while talking to phone in Melarmath area. Suddenly a boy snatched her mobile and tried to escape. Hearing the woman's shout, the local people run behind the thief and caught him red-handed.

Later the boy was handed over to police. West Agartala police took him to police station. It came to know that the accused in from Hapania area. The local people showed their anger on this issue and alleged that such incidents are happening every now and then in Agartala. The locals demanded strong action against such incident. West Agartala police started investigation to find out if there is any racket working behind this.
