AGARTALA, Nov 7 (TIWN): Tripurainfoway.com Editor Saumen Sarkar has taken a dig at Biplab Deb over his Dictator regime, where attacks on media are ramping up.
In a telephonic live interview with channel Mrinalini Chief Editor Rajib Datta in Channel Mrinalini ENN, Saumen Sarkar mentioned that such blatant attacks on media and press freedom must be stopped. "Media will publish against scams and corruptions and nobody can seize the voice, but those who are in power have forgotten that their powers are very temporary and limited", said Sarkar.
"I condemn the incident. Today Pratibadi Kalam newspapers were burnt, destroyed but this attack is not new in this state. But the Dictator might have forgotten that once Saddam Hussein's time also met an end. For now, they can put the Pratibadi Kalam in problems but they can't stop the free voice. More the Dictator will attack media, more power and unity will be witnessed in media. Now all media beyond any ideology should be united to fight the unstoppable attacks on them", said Sarkar.
