AGARTALA, Nov 5 (TIWN): At late night a body was found floating in an abandoned water body at Abhoynagar near Veterinary hospital.
Public were not sure about whether the person is dead or not and called Fire Brigade but Fire Brigade team allegedly did not even touch the man floating and waited till Police came. Later, Abhoynagar Outpost police came and recovered the body, taken for post mortem.
Even a police official said that it was Fire Brigade's duty to take the man to hospital. They are not doctors to declare a floating man dead.
On being asked, a Fire Brigade official said that it's not their area and so they did not work on that and did not touch the body. That statement had erupted more resentments among the people.
