KUMARGHAT, Oct 10 (TIWN): 'Dainik Sambad' journalist Tapan Banik has been attacked by miscreants. He was attempted to be murdered but saved life anyhow.

The family is COVID-19 related quarantine, when the attack took place at midnight.
The miscreants called Tapan Banik before his main gate and all of a sudden started attacking him. Then they entered his home and vandalized it.
Few of the miscreants have been identified behind the attack incident. They are RD Engineer Santanu Bhoumik, Akash Kar.
Tripura Working Journalists' Association has demanded immediate arrest of the accused persons.
