AGARTALA, Oct 2 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb who has turned much controversial due to his undemocratic statements and actions against his state's media and opposition voices has now claimed it is only PM Modi who could fulfill the dream of Mahatma Gandhi.

He said, Gandhiji wanted to strengthen the villages and this 'gram swaraj' has been succeeded by PM Modi.

"Politics is one thing and development is another thing. He wanted to strengthen the country for countrymen's development and Modi Govt is trying to work in that direction", claimed Deb amid nationwide sales of Govt institutions and privatization. 

He further claimed that the 3-layer Panchayat has strengthen the system and economic conditions in this country.
