AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Neighborhood classes under “open sky†has been continued in Tripura amid much controversies escalated from various parts of the society. Education Minister Ratanlal Nath is far from modifying his decision to continue classes under open sky for the children who could not attend online classes or for them who are interested to join in classes in their locality with around 5 students with ‘social distancing’. This method is faulty in many ways : 1) Students are seen sitting with social distancing in the schools while doing classes but while going to home or in between breaks, they are sitting together. So, the so-called social distancing is not effective on the practical ground, 2) Leeches, snakes, bulls have been attacking the students whereas if the State Govt wanted it could easily continue classes after sanitizing class rooms. However, amid all the controversies, Education Minister Ratanlal Nath said, “It’s Santiniketani Style of Educationâ€.
