AGARTALA, Aug 24 (TIWN): A Doctor in North Tripura District’s Dharmanagar subdivision named Dr Rahman has been arrested in sexual assault case from his residence.

But, when Dr Rahman was arrested, mob gathered and raised “Jai Sri Ram” slogan, as if communalizing a sexual assault case.

The matter is under jurisdiction and the victim has sought justice. Case registered against him 12/ 2020,354/509/506, 34ipc. 

As the crowd was heavy, Police rushed Dr Rahman to their vehicle so that no unwanted mob led incident could occur.
