The person identified as Kamal Dhrishi Das allegedly set his wife on fire. According to the victim's family members, he used to torture his wife every night.

 

It also came to know that the person is involved in an extra merital affair, out of which he committed the crime. On Thursday afternoon the accused poured kerosene on victim's body and set her on fire. 

 

The locals after seeing her burning called the firebrigade. The fire service team rushed to the spot and took her to Gomati District hospital. On Friday morning the victim breathed her last in hospital bed.

 

Her family members filed one FIR against the accused and sought strict action against him. However the accused is absconding now.
