AGARTALA, Aug 8 (TIWN): A man identified as Abhijit Bardhan committed suicide on yesterday night.The incident took place in Katashala area.
Reportedly, Abhijit Bardhan, son of Nabadwip Bardhan committed suicide by hanging from ceiling on Friday night in his own house. The deceased's mother alleged that his wife used to torture him and out of frustration he ended his life.
Abhijit got married four years ago and he has a daughter. Allegedly, as he couldn't fulfill his wife's demands for the economic crisis, his wife left his house few days ago.
After spotting his body hanging from the ceiling the family members informed police. Police rushed to the spot and recovered his body. The body has been sent to morgue for autopsy. Police took a case on this suicide and started investigating the matter.
