AGARTALA, July 28 (TIWN): As Door to Door surveys of COVID-19 continues on Day-2, Minister Ratanlal Nath has called this move as an excellent step taken by the Health Dept of Tripura.
Talking to media, Minister Ratanlal Nath said that no other state has taken this initiative. This door to door survey is to check updates of COVID-19 infections by asking the public, whether they have any fever or COVID-19 symptoms or not.
If necessary, tests would be taken during the visits, but although in town areas, this initiative was succeeded but on yesterday in Teliamura’s Mungiakami block, locals had blocked road not allowing the Health Officials to enter fearing ‘false’ COVID-19 results and hospitalization along with raising questions, who would guarantee that the Health staffs and Govt staffs are not already infected as they are moving from place to place and coming in contact with many patients. After much attempts also, the dept could not convince the locals and returned without tests.
