AGARTALA, July 14 (TIWN): In a barbaric manner BJP goons continues their rowdyism on opposition parties and their social activities. On Tuesday CPI-M's Badharghat office was set on fire by goons after DYFI scheduled one blood donation camp today. The goons have attacked on the camp, broken stuffs and set the office on fire.
On other side CPI-M activists alleged that everytime the decides to organise any social activity, BJP led government's officials and police stops them.
Ex-CM Manik Sarkar strongly condemned such activities and said, "What's their problem in social activities organised by oppositions. They don't allow us any school to organise blood donation camps. Blood donation camps are meant to be held in schools and colleges so that people can easily come and donate blood. In our time also, we have organised several blood donation camps in schools and clubs across the state. But today when our members planned to organise a blood donation camp the authority didn't permit us any school. Then we shifted our arrangements to a house nearby, there also police came with a notice of objection. But for the bold statement of West DM Sandeep Mahatme we could organise the camp. He told us if the doctors and blood bank staffs are ready to take the blood then who are they to stop us. I appreciate such firm decision of DM. He's also a doctor and he knows the necessity of blood in this crucial period of society when patients are dying in hospitals for the lack of blood."
However, after facing all the obstacles the scheduled blood donation camp by DYFI was held today. Ex-CM Manik Sarkar and other senior leaders with DYFI leaders attended the program.
