AGARTALA, July 8 (TIWN): Tripura Congress has placed deputation to DGP over Law and Order issue and attacks on Opposition workers, leaders.

Congress said that the Law and Order is continuously deteriorating in state but earlier Congress President Pijush Biswas was assured by Chief Minister Biplab Deb that action against Law Violators will be taken but in actual nothing happened and it seemed that planwise all attacks are going on.

“Our leader at Kakrabon, who is the block president was too attacked but no action was taken by police against the miscreants”, said Congress leader Harekrishna Bhowmik.

Congress also condemned Police's attitude against Narayan Dutta saying, Police could tackle the matter amid so much political pressure. 

"We have demanded to restore Democracy in state so that public can regain their basic rights..........", said Bhowmik.

The party also asked not to discriminate in giving permission of political programmes by all parties.
