AGARTALA, May 8 (TIWN): 10 Bangladesh citizens have been arrested by Tripura Police from Agartala Rajnagar area when they were all set to go back to Bangladesh after resining in Tripura allegedly for a long time without VISA and Passport.
As per the arrested persons’ statements, these 10 persons who are professional illegal border crossing persons, crossed India-Bangladesh border at Rs.2,000 and sometimes Rs. 1,500. The arrested 10 youths said that they are actually from Bangladesh, came to Tripura before 7 months and working as masons but with incomes gone during COVID19 Lockdown, they tried to escape to their own country again in illegal ways at Rs. 2,000.
The Bangladesh citizens also denied to tell media about any owner’s name under whom they worked. They said, they used to tell everyone that they are from West Bengal and had no categorical owner but wherever they got works, they did.

They entered via Akhaura and was caught at Rajnagar area.
