AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): Tripura Police has continued major operations against Narcotics Smuggler gangs under Chief Minister Biplab Deb, Addl DGP Rajib Singh’s tough stand against Drugs. Since April 30, when narcotic mafia Ramu Saha’s godown in Masjid Patti area was seized with contraband items, police continues busting of his illegal narcotic dens. From his home to all properties, police clutched the roots of drug empire. Unrooting the drug-dens of Ramu Saha today once again police sealed AR Enterprise at Digambar market in Masjit road.Add SP Mihirlal Das along with other police officials raided the are. These developments are coming since Ramu Saha was arrested and sent in 7 days police remand. Police right now are interrogating him. Ramu Shaha is Agartala’s top narcotic mafia Ramu Saha.He was sent to 7 days police remands by West Tripura District court’s Additional District Judge on Tuesday.On 11th May he will be reproduced before court after interrogation.
The Narcotics smuggler Ramu Saha was arrested by East Agartala Police on yesterday night after searches. He was wanted in an NDPS case registered in East PS since 30th April, from police seized huge numbers of contraband items from his home and godown at Masjid Patti.
Ramu Saha is a drug mafia of Agartala deals with illegal Phensedyl and drug tablets, said a source.
On 30th April 41,472 drug tablets were seized from his Masjid Patti Godown. Police conducted search in his Shiv Nagar house and seized huge quantity of illegal storage of medicine. Drug controller registered separate case under Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
On yesterday on being asked by media after hearing in Ramu Shaha’s court, Senior Advocate Biswajit Deb said, Ramu Saha who was arrested on yesterday was produced before the court with enough evidences today before the Additional District judge. Case registered against him in East Agartala PS with Case No - 68 of 2020 / US 21C, 29 of NDPS Act.
He was sent to 7 days police remands by West Tripura District court’s Additional District Judge on Tuesday.
On 11th May he will be reproduced before court after interrogation.
