AGARTALA, May 6 (TIWN): After Education Minister Ratanlal Nath slammed CPI-M referring 28 schools were shutdown in ADC in 2017-18, CPI-M’s top leader calling a press conference asked the BJP Govt to cite an example of school closure in Left era.
The CPI-M leader said that neither CPI-M Govt closed any school, nor withdrew science subject course from anywhere.
“Without science, the world can’t exist. From Corona “Kashi”, “Ghanta” can not save but only scientists can save humans from the deadly disease. Thus, instead of closing science stream, Govt should focus on expand the science education more”, said CPI-M.
The whole criticism erupted centering an official notification unearthed by media, where Govt found taking decision to close science streams in 25 schools in the West District.
Ratanlal Nath cited that in 2017-18, ADC which is run by CPI-M Govt has closed 28 schools due to zero students enrolment, asking, “If they can do, there is no problem, but if we do, then there are so many criticism ? I am indebted to the opposition that I have to answer them on each step taken by Govt. From 3 days, such controversies are going on. I felt bad. Guardians may think, what the Govt is doing”.
