AGARTALA, May 1 (TIWN): Congress in Banamalipur led by senior leader Gopal Roy distributed rations among needy people.

Addressing media, Congress leader Gopal Roy said, “This initiative has been taken by Congress in Banamalipur for them, who are poor. But unfortunately, we asked for permissions and only one permission was given. We have more programmes in next days in sequence”.

“This programme is not for anything else, but the food distribution programme is for the poor. But the attitude of the Govt side is unsatisfactory”, said Gopal Roy, adding, no proper security is also seen across.

Today 850 families were benefited from this ration distribution programme. In one place 250 packets were given whereas in a separate place 600 more families by maintaining social distances.

Rice, Daal, Salt, Oil, Potato, Soyabean were distributed in the relief distribution programme.
