AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, Feb 22 (TIWN): No Advocate General of Tripura was seen active in the political field except the present Advocate General Arun Kanti Bhowmik which has generated massive resentment, extreme criticism. His deep involvement in party, BJP supporting statements in Bar Election has hit the ethics of Attorney General’s post.
Reacting over Advocate General Arun Kanti Bhowmik’s statement that BJP will win 15 out of 15 seats in Bar Election, Tripura Congress leader, former Advocate Subal Bhowmik said, “Law is no more neutral now. Everywhere there are interferences and pressures going on leaving the judicial system biased somehow.

Bhowmik said, “Tripura Bar Election to be held on February 23. We all respect him but being the advocate general to whom 37 lakhs people are dependent for justice medium. But, Arun Kanti Bhowmik was seen in BJP’s campaigning. No Advocate General was seen in political campaigning earlier”.
Subal Bhowmik demanded action against Arun Kanti Bhowmik and also suggested him to resign.
