AGARTALA, Feb 8 (TIWN): In the name of SMART City, massive loots are going on in Tripura, alleged Congress leader Subal Bhowmik.

Addressing media, Bhowmik said, “In the name of smart city uneven developments are going on. The mobility of Agartala city is losing day by day. The mobility in Agartala is already less at 7 km per hour, but with installation of traffic lights the mobility reduced to 3 km now. In a little distance so many traffic lights are going on. Huge rows of bikes are seen before CNG stations leading massive jams, but amid all these, the Govt is putting signals in unnecessary spots”.

“Each signal light is causing 10 lakhs rupees  which is nothing but way to loot the central funds. In the Secretariat, an OSD is sitting who is doing all these profit making works, basically doing business in corrupt means. At the end, Agartala city is losing its mobility”, he said.

Bhowmik further criticized that only poor people’s shops are broken whereas many illegal constructions of rich people are yet untouched. He slammed CM Biplab Deb for entering his convoy through No-Entry.
