AGARTALA, Dec 21 (TIWN): Agriculture Dept’s farm workers’ pensions have been increased by the BJP-IPFT Govt. The decision was taken by the cabinet.
Addressing media, Minister Pranajit Singha Roy said, “In last 25 years of Govt, the previous Govt has told many things to the Govt employees. But I have observed that in Agriculture Dept there were many permanent workers under Act 1983. They received a pension of Rs. 100. It was brought at last Rs. 400 Rs. 1,300. Govt has now decided to increase Rs. 2500 to Rs. 3,500”.
“My question is how by such an amount the family was running ? Our Govt has decided to increase their pensions thus with effect of January, 2019”, said Pranajit Singha Roy.
Pranajit Singah Roy said that it is a great decision taken by the Govt for the welfare of the employee/pensioners.
