AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): Tripura Autonomous ‘District Council’ will be converted into ‘Territorial council’, announced by IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia.
Addressing media, IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia said, “I want to congratulate the BJP, IPFT Govt for introducing certain bills/ amendments recently and taking many decisions in favour of ADC development. Last month on 21st October we have received the letter from Minister of Home Affairs regarding the constitutional amendment, 125 amendment bill 2019 and the Home Ministry has given us certain questions, asked for our comments about an amendment bill regarding District Council. Similar letters came before also in 2009, 2013 but unfortunately the previous Govt didn’t entertain the matter”.
