AGARTALA, Nov 20 (TIWN): While addressing in the CITU’s rally at Agartala, former Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty said that under the previous Govt, it was seen that Govt is giving works at such huge numbers that many times, workers’ shortage was felt whereas the present BJP Govt instead of giving jobs busy in termination of contractual posts.
“Mid day meal workers jobs swallowed by the BJP Govt. The ASHA workers who were working hard to serve those rural areas people where health service yet could not reach out properly their jobs are eaten. Anganwadi workers also victimized under this termination row”, said Tapan Chakraborty.
“The BJP and RSS backed Govt never think for poor people. What all they think is for rich and the corporates”, he said.
He further criticized the NGOs which are actually run by BJP from behind, these are replaced with contractual employees.
The statement came after over thousand contractual employees were terminated by the BJP Govt.
