AGARTALA, Oct 20 (TIWN): Like various other institutions, today UCO Bank at Agartala has observed Vigilance Awareness Week-2019 aims to have Corruption Free India.

Corruption is a malice, which is eating into the very ethos of our society and taking a heavy toll on our economy. People lose trust and belief in the administration due to Corruption. In pursuit of Government’s vision to make India a New India by the year 2022, the Central Vigilance Commission, an apex integrity institution of India, endeavors to promote integrity, transparency and accountability in public life.

 Vigilance Awareness week is observed every year as a part of the multi pronged approach of the Commission, to encourage stakeholders to collectively participate in the prevention of and fight against Corruption. The Commission also aims to raise public awareness , regarding the existence causes and gravity of and the threat posed by the Commission.

 The Vigilance Awareness Week-2019 will be observed this year from 28th October’ 2019 to 2nd November’2019 on the theme “Integrity-A way of life”
