SANTIR BAZAR (South Tripura), Oct 11 (TIWN): BJP supporters at Santir Bazar sub-division, South Tripura District gheraoed Deputy Opposition leader, Badal Choudhury with “Go Back†slogan, CPI-M said in a statement on Thursday.
In press release signed by Rakhal Majumder, the State Committee member said that Badal Choudhury went to Muhuripur to meet CPI-M’s bed-ridden party member Niranjan Chakraborty who was a strong leader of youth wing in 60’s era. Chakraborty’s brother is too suffering from cancer disease.
While returning after meeting them, around 20 to 25 BJP kariyakartas gheraoed Badal Choudhury and raised slogans of “Go Back Badal Choudhury, you can’t come to Muhuripur”.
CPI-M has condemned the incident calling it “undemocratic”, “lawlessness situation’s example”, “hooliganism”.
