AGARTALA Oct 10 (TIWN): In another major success, North Tripura Police led by SP Bhanupada Chakraborty busted a huge drug-smuggling network on Wednesday evening.

In a drive in ‘Nesha Mukt Tripura’ in Kadamtala at least 10,000 ya ba tablets were recovered whereas 2 brown sugar packets were too seized with them.

Assam’s Karimganj District’s resident Asikul Rahaman (32) was arrested in this drive of North Tripura police.

He was arrested from his relative Shamsuk Hak’s home.

A vehicle bearing number MZ01D/O244 and a bike with number AS10A/0535 were too seized along with Asikul.

One more smuggler who was on the bike managed to escape from the spot but police is in continuous search for him. Cases registered under NDPS act against them.
