NEW DELHI, Sep 13 (TIWN): Against West Tripura Election Mass-Rigging, Tripura Congress filed a case in Supreme Court demanding re-election.
Supreme Court of India reportedly before 10 days issued that notice and asked ECI about the mass rigging issue.
The case has recently heard in the SC and SC notified EC about the mass rigging issue and also asked why only 166 seats were considered for re-election ? Congress leader Subal Bhowmik, who was the Congress candidate for the election today informed media that EC is unable to justify itself in the Supreme Court till now and Congress hoping a total re-election in the constituency.
Addressing media today, Subal Bhowmik said, “I myself was present in Supreme Court during the hearing. Supreme Court has asked Election Commission how it was made possible that RO sought reelection in 433 booths and only 168 booths were reconsidered ?”
“Election Commission has tried at the Supreme Court to justify, unable to answer the queries in proper way. Now, we are hoping that within a year the reelection may be conducted again”, said Bhowmik.
