AGARTALA, Sep 12 (TIWN): A massive protest was staged at the Longtarai Valley after free medical service was scrapped by the BJP Govt in state Tripura.
Tripura Govt has modified the existing free-medical-service given in the State Govt hospitals and started charging to all APL families in almost all types of tests. However, Govt modified few items relieving OT, Emergency as free. The Government has said that the notification No-F1(28)-DHS / GS/18 had a drafting mistake.
The BJP Govt’s clarification has come two days after opposition CPI-M and Congress held various protests followed by one person’s death due to lack of Rs. 10000 before entering OT. CM however on yesterday said, the person Pramod Modok died not due to lack of money, but his BP was high and so his operation was rejected.
