AGARTALA, Sep 9 (TIWN): Durga puja in past days and even till day in neighboring country Bangladesh have been subjected to distribution free foods within a limited budget and there is not much need of pandals and big Durga idols, but in Tripura, Durga puja has become source liquor parties of club members for the whole year and thus the donation in the name of God minimum remains few thousand and also for new house owners it crosses lakhs.

Agartala Yuva Sangha Club in Ramnagar has threatened people to increase 300 rupees than the previous year and those who can not come to the club they have to pay Rs. 500 extra.

Various clubs are coming house to house, threatening in mafia style, whereas police’s warning remained just for name-shake.

After Ramnagar Yuva Sangha’s mafia-style notice was exposed in media there is no action by police yet. This puja needs to be shutdown for a year immediately.

In the name of Hindu Goddess Durga puja, hefty donation collections have been strongly criticized by public.

According to rule, only 2 persons can come for collecting donations. Also, they have to come when the men of the house are in home like 7 am to 9 am and evening time from 5.30 to 7 pm most likely. For more details, people are requested contact the local police station. Also no Govt or private office is subjected to pay in Durga puja.
