AGARTALA, Aug 26 (TIWN): Bishalgrah police arrested a cop named Biswajit Das from Khowai Police Station under NDPS for allegedly having deep nexus with drug-mafias.

The arrest took place from Khowai PS in latenight, said report. Biswajit Das was appointed as the sub-inspector of the police station.

Allegation is Biswajit Das was helping mafias in exchange of hefty commissions. He has direct connection with Titu Ahmed, a drug-mafia of Bishalgarh.

His wealth has also increased in few days of his joining in police dept which is reportedly very abnormal.

Police have started inquiring Biswajit and was also produced him before the court.
