AGARTALA, Aug 22 (TIWN): Tripura Education Minister Ratanlal Nath today has announced that from class-3 there will be centralized question papers that means all schools’ question papers will be same.
It can be noted here that back in 2003-04 the then CPI-M Govt also started the same process from Class-6 which could not bring any development, rather selling of year-wise test-papers increased. The system was called nodal system. Under this system, a group of schools are clubbed together under a single nodal and their syllabus is prepared in the form of set questions. That time also passing rates had decreased a lot, but this nodal system was a failure on that time.
However, the new BJP Govt has started an upgraded system again after surveying various CBSE schools’ model outside the state named “Centralized Question setups” whereas all schools will have same question-papers.
Ratanlal Nath hoped, in this way fails’ percentage in Class-10 tests will decrease.
He said, no detention doesn’t mean to pass all but if a student fails by training him for 2 months and making him able to pass exam by upgrading his knowledge-base.
He also lamented on a section of teachers’ mindset which lacks hardworking attitudes.
