AGARTALA, Aug 20 (TIWN): Students of the state are busy and gearing up to celebrate Teachers’ Day on 5th September.
Students are designing attractive greeting cards embossed with touching quotes and messages to baking cakes and choosing big bouquets of flowers, students are aslo coming up with ingenious ways to make the day memorable for their teachers. Most of students are gearing up for a role reversal on Friday.
Every year on Teachers’ Day, students dress up as their teachers and take classes of their juniors while the teachers get an opportunity to unwind and get pampered by the students. Teachers' Day is celebrated as a tribute to the valuable contribution made by teachers to the society by imparting knowledge and enlightening and shaping the career of students.
Celebration of Teachers' Day is fairly popular in many countries across the world and is even acknowledged by UNESCO. For students, Teachers' Day is an occasion to pay reverence and gratitude to teachers for their selfless effort in shaping their career and enriching the education system in the process.
