AGARTALA, Aug 15 (TIWN): Horrifying rape incident via Battala route auto which has shaken State Tripura, even other states, police have successfully detained 2 persons.

But shockingly out of the 2 detained persons, one is a police official.

Pritam Bhowmik (29) who is working under SP security another is Nirmal Bhattacharjee (37), who is a businessman by profession.

Reportedly, Nirmal is residing Aralia’s Ghosh Para area. Against him there are multiple charges for assaulting women.

31 years old lady was brutally gangraped after she was kidnapped when she was travelling via auto to her home from Battala. Later, they attempted to kill her and left on road-side.

At around night 8 pm police station was informed about the incident. Police rushed to the home, where the victim took shelter at Malaynagar.The family which gave her shelter told media, when she came there was no cloth on her body her neck was cut and bleeding heavily.

Then she was taken to Anandanagar hospital. Later she was referred in GB hospital.
