AGARTALA, Aug 13 (TIWN): TRTC has re-launched bus service after a long period when the bus service left in frozen condition led by the then Transport Minister Manik Dey under Left Govt.
Total 16 buses have been started for 2 routes. In each route 8 buses will be given.
These routes are : University to GB, Battala to Ranir Bazar.
“It has been our promise to the public to start city buses in the Agartala city but it has been delayed for little. Total 16 buses will be operating from morning 6.30 am to night 9.30 pm”, said Pranajit Singha Roy, the present transport Minister of Tripura.
“This was people’s long waited demand as in the evening there are massive crisis and also an issue for the students to get vehicle. The previous Govt left TRTC in paralyzed condition. Various vehicles were recovered from various places, few were left under trees. However, we think we can re-launch the service well”, said Roy.
