AGARTALA, Aug 9 (TIWN): Democratic Students' Organisation (DSO) observed the 77th anniversary of the Quit India Movement, also known as the August Kranti Andolan here in Agartala.
A series of events were organised to pay tribute to freedom fighters.
A special morning assembly was organized. Leaders had prepared speeches on the Quit India Movement.
Today across nation school students were seen to celebrate this day.
They held posters with slogans such as “Do or Die” and “Independence is our Birthright” written on them. The underlying idea behind the procession was to explain the significance of the movement to patriotic fervour in students.
