AGARTALA, June 26 (TIWN): To mark the occasion of “International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking†on Wednesday ‘Indian Psychiatric Society’ has organized a rally here in Agartala.
The rally was themed awareness about drugs and the bad affects of drugs in the society.
From Tripura Police Dept a massive programme was organized at Rabindra Bhawan, inaugurated by Chief Minister Biplab Deb.
The International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is a United Nations International Day against drug abuse and the illegal drug trade. It is observed annually on 26 June, since 1989. The observance was instituted by General Assembly Resolution 42/112 of 7 December 1987.
