AGARTALA, June 19 (TIWN): In last 48 hours two rape cases have shocked the state, whereas one rape was ended by brutal murder of a 6 years girl. When 2 persons were arrested in 6 years girl’s gangrape and murder at Dharmanagar, at the same time another 53 years old man arrested for raping a 12 years old girl at Kadamtala. After police’s immediate action and successful drive, people have demanded capital punishment of the rapists. Today, Dharmanagar Police caught two rape accused persons in connection with a 6 years girl’s rape and murder. One of the accused persons is Sourabh Nath (19) and another is Dibarkar Das (20). Both of them are residents of Dharmanagar Padmapukur area. A scooty was seized which was allegedly used by the culprits in this rape incident. Police now investigating the case and strong actions are being taken against them.This 6 years girl’s dead body was found in Dharmanagar, North Tripura, suspected by police as murder after rape or gang-rape incident and post mortem it was confirmed that she was gangraped and killed.
The incident took place at Hafflongchara tea garden area. The deceased is a resident of Kailashahar Murtichara area.
At the same time, when this 6 years girl’s rape and murder at Dharmanagar has horrified the state, one more minor girl was raped in Kalangar Par of North Kadamtala.
A 12 years girl was raped and a person has been arrested based on the complaint of the victim family.
In Kadamtala Police station on yesterday night the case was registered. Based on the complaint, police filed case KDL/PS/31,US:-376(25)(1) IPC POSCO ACT.
The rape accused has been identified as Abdul Jalil (53), S/O-Late Inchan Ali.
He kidnapped the girl and took her in a jungle, raped. The injured and mentally shocked 12 years victim girl complained the matter to her parents. Police led by OC-Debajit Chatterjee is further investigating the case.
Total 3 rapists were arrested in last 24 hours and all of them are in police custody.
