AGARTALA, June 17 (TIWN): Chief Minister Biplab Deb during his Delhi visit has met various Ministers and officials and placed many demands for Tripura’s development.
Among all such demands, while meeting Niti Aayog Vice Chairman, Rajiv Kumar, Biplab Deb demanded 8% increase in the sharing of the central revenue. Right now the tax sharing is 42% between Centre and State.
Then the CM also demanded 10% hike in divisible pool for all Northeast states. Also he demanded if the GST income is low, then the Central Govt must help the State Govt for more than 5 years at a stress.
Also the revenue income and expenditure should be based on the real economic situation, CM requested the NITI Aayog Vice Chairman.
Deb also requested that Central Govt may allocate the fund to state govt which it had to invest for pay hikes of the state govt employees.
