AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 16 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Deb has met Minister of state Government of India for Shipping Mansukh Mandviya today at New Delhi.

The meeting took place at the Minister’s residence in New Delhi today.

CM said, “We had a wide range of discussion specially on the water ways connectivity project between India and Bangladesh through Tripura's Gomti river. He has assured that the work will start very soon”.

In the NITI Aayog meeting CM said that the Inland Water Transport project in Tripura will be done, the state will be transformed into the gateway to the Northeast.

He also demanded that the declaration of river Gomati as Indo- Bangladesh protocol route.
