AGARTALA, June 14 (TIWN): Centering admission issue, today Umakanta Academy school students had blocked road which according to police is an indiscipline activity led 2 students’ arrests.
Students protested as this year the Umakanta school authority out of 80 seats in Arts allocated 40 seats to other school students. According to the students 40 seats are not enough asking, where rest of the students will go ?
On yesterday a female guardian was verbally and almost physically attacked when she came to place her demand for her son.
During protest, 2 students were arrested led massive anger among the agitators. Students warned, if they are not released then they will go in further protest.
Umakanta Academy is an educational institute located in the heart of Agartala, India. Established in 1890, it is the oldest school in Tripura.
