AGARTALA, June 10 (TIWN): Additional Chief Secretary U. Venkateswarlu (Tripura cadre, 1986) has been announced as Chief Secretary of Govt of Tripura.

On assumption, Venkateswarlu will be taking charge of these departments until further order :

1. General Administration (Confidential & Cabinet),
2. Planning (including statistics)

The bureaucrat will also be taking charge of Chairman, Executive Committee, Tripura Skill Development Mission, in addition and until further orders.

At the same time, T . K. Chakma, Secretary of Govt of Tripura will also take charge Secretary to Governor, Tripura, in addition.

IAS Manoj Kumar, the Additional Chief Secretary will continue to hold the charges of power, finance and forest department.

Kumar Alok, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt of Tripura, will continue to take charges of Home dept (excluding Jail & Fire Service) and G.A. (P&T), along with charge of Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister of Tripura. All files relating to posting, transfer, leave, promotions shall be routed through the Chief Secretary.
