NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, June 9 (TIWN): Roadway and National Highway projects to get momentum in Tripura and tenders are awaiting for the roadway map.
Chief Minister Biplab Deb on yesterday has met Secretary, Ministry of Road Transport and highways (MoRTH), Sanjeev Ranjan at his Delhi residence.
Biplab Deb has discussed about various issues related to highway development in Tripura.
Official documents stated that crores of fund sanctioning are going on and already many projects are 90% completed in the state which will be inaugurated by this year.
An amount of 3.48 crores have been sanctioned for NH-2018 and NH-44(A). Due to monsoon damage, the Govt also has sanctioned more Rs. 43 lakhs in this purpose.
“An estimate for erecting bollards from Agartala-Sabroom has been sanctioned for Rs. 1.38 crores on 27th May”, said an official.
For the improvement of Bagafa to Jolaibari has facilitated by Rs. 1.82 crores. Tenders have been invited for the purpose.
One FOB has also sanctioned for change of scope in front Tripura University at Suryamaninagar.
Tenders were called for various projects which includes Kailashahar-Khowai-Teliamura route, Manu-Simglung, Kumarghat-Kailashahar, Julaibari-Belonia.
More 2 routes will get tenders : Telimaura-Hariana, Churaibari-Agartala.
The projects to be parts of Modi;s pre-poll promise on HIRA where “H” meant for “Highways”.
