AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): IPFT President, Forest Minister NC Debbarma has slammed media for reporting about ‘internal clash’ among IPFT leaders. N C Debbarma said, media regardless social media, electronic and print media have published this news based on speculation which has no connection with the reality. “IPFT Ministers, MLAs, leaders were united, are united and will be united irrespective of what was the election results in Lok Sabha-2019â€, claimed the party leader. IPFT recently also expressed positive to fight in the upcoming Panchayat Election alone. IPFT has formed a Govt in Tripura with BJP after 2018 Assembly Election. The party has 8 MLAs, but recently in the Lok Sabha Election, IPFT had dropped in 4th position in competition with BJP, Congress, Communist parties. IPFT however suffered from fund crisis as it’s a regional party.After election IPFT held a party meeting andIPFT Ministers as well as the party president NC Debbarma had to answer his people the reason behind this massive fall.
IPFT ranked 4th in Lok Sabha Election and there was a huge switch over of Tiprasa votebanks with Congress under leadership of Pradyot Manikya, the party president of Congress as well as the Royal family’s head. On the other side, post poll violence has hit the state, where BJP-IPFT clash also has been a major issue.
