AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, June 2 (TIWN): Former Congress President of Tripura Birjit Sinha has received Rs. 1 lakh in Congress’s relief fund for the injured victims and those Congress workers whose properties were damaged. The cheque was handedover by Pradyot Manikya on yesterday. It will be used for North Tripura.
Earlier, Congress State President Pradyot Manikya donated Rs. 10 lakhs and senior Congress leader Pijush Biswas Rs. 1 lakh in this purpose.
Tripura post poll violence has caused 300 people affected and 3 murders. All political parties BJP, CPI-M, Congress have been affected in the violence but maximum belonged to the opposition parties Congress and CPI-M parties.
