NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, May 28 (TIWN): Statewide post poll violence has gripped the state. In such an incident one Apu Das at Udaipur died in heart attack after his party colleague allegedly demanded hefty amounts from him, which erupted massive protest in Udaipur on May 25.

Today BJP MP Pratima Bhowmik, Minister Pranajit Singha Roy have visited late Apu Das’s house at Sonamura Chowmuhani of Udaipur, donated Rs. 2 lakhs to the family of Apu Das. The incident took place on 25^th May.

On the other side, another person died at Bamutia. who was also allegedly killed.

However, total 3 persons were killed, one died in heart-attack but it erupted out of BJP party’s infighting only.

Another BJP youth Suman Das was killed at Khayerpur in mob-violence whereas family members have alleged the BJP activists only killed him.

Congress, CPI-M have demanded compensation to each victim. More than 200 people are hospitalized, 150 property burning incidents came out till now.

Chief Minister Biplab Deb since election result out have met both Congress and CPI-M party heads Pradyot Manikya and Manik Sarkar and reportedly discussed the matter.
