Not 1 but tallying of 5 polling stations’ VVPAT slips with EVM vote count ordered by EC for state Tripura

AGARTALA / NEW DELHI, May 22 (TIWN): Result out for two Northeast Indian states Tripura and Mizoram will be delayed at least by four hours on Thursday as Election Commission of India (ECI) has asked the State Election Commission for counting of ballots will be done only after tallying of VVPAT slips with EVM vote count in five polling stations.
In other states in each Assembly Segment the counting will be in one polling stations.
ECI in Agartala and Aizawl said that earlier they used to count one Assembly Segment’s VVPAT slips with the EVM vote count.
Tripura has two Assembly Segments : East Tripura (reserved for ST) and West Tripura.
