AGARTALA, March 20 (TIWN): Tripura High Court has issued a notice to the State Govt of Tripura seeking reply within April 6 after a petition was filed in the court against the Govt led cancellation of TSR appointment which was under process of recruitment.
The interview had taken place in 2016 under the then Left Govt.
Total 7 states’ candidates had appeared in the interview : 1) Tamilnadu, 2) Rajasthan, 3) Andra Pradesh, 4) Himachal Pradesh, 5) West Bengal, 6) Bihar, 7) Uttar Pradesh, 8) Tripura.
After interviews, selection of candidates had been done and tokens were given.
Police verification of 5 states were also completed.
On that time, journalist Sudip Datta Bhoumik’s murder incident delayed 2 states’ verifications.
The offer letters were prepared, but due to election announcement, offer letters could not be distributed.
Total 372 candidates from Tripura and 136 from other states were selected.
But BJP Govt cancelled the whole recruitment process. Then 133 job aspirants filed a petition in the High Court.
High Court Justice Arindam Lodh in a hearing sought reply of notice citing cause for cancellation of the recruitments.
Advocate Pijush Kanti Biswas, Shankar Bhattacharjee, Mrinal Kanti Biswas have filed the case on behalf of petitioners.
