AGARTALA, March 17 (TIWN): After announcing candidates names for the upcoming Lok Sabhah election, IPFT Minister Mebar Jamatia said if BJP compromises with one seat with IPFT,then it will continue the alliance in the Lok Sabha election.

“If BJP gives us the East Tripura ST reserved seat, then IPFT will withdraw candidate from West Tripura”, Mebar Jamatia told media.

BJP and IPFT is holding a combined government in Tripura. The state has only two seats for MPs. IPFT demanded the ST reserved East Tripura seat for IPFT, whereas BJP has strictly denied to compromise.

In this condition, IPFT has announced its candidates names giving the ultimatum to BJP Govt to come in compromise with IPFT for the East Tripura seat and IPFT will give up West Tripura seat for BJP.

From East Tripura, IPFT has nominated NC Debbarma, President of IPFT and also a Minister in Biplab Deb’s cabinet.
